Hi! Welcome to the Bella Mia website!

Bella Mia is a small, in-home cattery located in the United States in sunny Northern California. I established my cattery in 2010 as a result of a lifelong love of cats. My goal is to raise happy, healthy, beautiful Exotics and Persians that conform to the CFA standard for these breeds. My cats run free in my home and live as household pets. My particular interest is in bicolor Exotics and Persians. Bella Mia is registered in the CFA and ACFA. All of my cats are PKD negative and FIV/FeLV negative. I am working with the following lines: Malinka, Catillak, Prism Ridge, Dark Diamond, D’Eden Lover, Noblessa, Harwood, Steeplechase, San-Fe, Candirand, and Artemis.

I would like to thank the breeders who made my cattery possible by entrusting me with their beautiful cats: Zoya Shulga of Dar-Liz, Tatiana Malinina of Malinka, Irina Samuolene of Dark Diamond,  Ben Gavitt of Noblessa, Hugo Pedro of Redfire, Nastya Naumova of Single, Olga Khalikova of Black Pearls, and Maria Valenzuela of Angelik. I would also like to thank my mentors Jeanne Snyder of Purfurvid and Penni Richter of Parti Wai Ex for their invaluable advice and assistance, and Tracey Dalton and Shelby Friemoth for showing my cats so beautifully. I would also like to thank my friend and collaborator Lou Vairo in Colorado for his encouragement and assistance in this breeding program, and for sharing my love of cats.

Our sister cattery is Prism Ridge in Winnipeg, Canada. www.prismridgepersians.ca Cindy Allison has been a good friend and mentor to me from the start of this exciting hobby. She sent me my first exotic, and I look forward to many years of encouraging one another and working together to improve the breed.

Besides my interest in breeding cats, I have three beautiful children! My other hobby is my Japanese maple collection, hence the maple leaves on my website. I hope you enjoy visiting my website and come back soon!
